GSL Education is seeking a Maths Graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Tutor in local Schools in York and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for recent Maths Graduates to gain experience in the education sector and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of students, from primary to secondary level, and support teachers in the classroom.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Maths and education, and who is able to communicate effectively with students and staff.

The role will involve working with students who require additional support, and providing interventions to help them catch up with their peers.

As a Maths Graduate, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of areas, including lesson planning, classroom management, and student support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Maths interventions
  • Work with teachers to develop lesson plans and resources
  • Manage classroom behaviour and support students with additional needs
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level with GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience in a similar role, particularly in relation to leading intervention sessions or supporting young people with additional needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of support techniques and programmes
  • The ability to lead and work as part of a team
