Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Vehicle Mechanic. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and diagnosing all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment. You will also be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting.
The main responsibilities would include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing. Additionally, you will be working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be between £38,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, wellness programme, sick pay, group life insurance, staff discount on car servicing and Listers benefits discounts on retailers, restaurants, cinemas & holidays.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have good mechanical and electrical knowledge and an ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard. You will also need to hold or be working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
A valid MOT License and full UK driving licence are also required.
