Job Title: Senior Estimating Professional

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Estimating Professional to join our Refurbishment Team at Daniel Owen Ltd in Kent. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a main contractor on Social Housing refurbishment projects, partnerships, and frameworks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the contractors' HSE&Q standards, operating processes, company policies, and all legislative requirements are adhered to at all times. They will also manage the coordination and preparation of tender documentation, develop awareness of clients' processes and procedures for bid evaluation, and effectively plan tender documentation and pricing information.

A Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a keen desire to extend knowledge on software packages are essential. Good data interrogation skills, organisation and project management skills, ability to prioritise, and working knowledge of marketing and economic factors are also necessary.

Salary: £57,500 - £67,500 (DOE) + Car package

About the Role:

  • Manage the coordination and preparation of tender documentation.

  • Effectively plan tender documentation and pricing information.
  • Evaluate, engage, and negotiate on price documents, assess for accuracy and confirm best value on price and service quality.

Requirements:

  • Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
