Job Description

As our Chief Financial Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in leading our financial strategy and guiding us through this exciting phase. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the financial strategy of the business and contributing to the commercial strategy.
  • Developing and executing an optimal capital structure for Material Evolution by effectively leveraging debt, offtake agreements, and diverse financial instruments.
  • Strategically balancing funding sources to enhance financial performance, support sustainable growth, and achieve the company's strategic goals.
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive business performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Identifying and managing financial risks, implementing policies to mitigate risks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Optimizing financial operations, including accounting, tax, and treasury functions, to improve financial efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicating financial performance and strategy to the board of directors, investors, and employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in investment banking, providing a deep understanding of financial markets and investment strategies.
  • Expertise in capital structuring and leveraging financial instruments to optimize financial performance and support sustainable growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and operational efficiencies in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Ability to forecast accurately, ensuring the board and leadership team have a clear view on current and future financial performance.
