Commissioning Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Supervisor to join our team at Rock Compliance Ltd in Alcester. As a Commissioning Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commissioning processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Selection and Recruitment: Assist in the selection and recruitment of staff to ensure the right candidates are hired for the job.
  • New Employee Induction: Induct new employees into the business, ensuring they understand our company values and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Carry out training of employees as required, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Team Productivity: Responsible for the productivity of the team, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Liaise and work with relevant parties to ensure all work activity is planned, organised and carried out to the contract brief.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Consult with other Supervisors and engineers, management, clients and other employees to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Safety and Quality: Promote and communicate safety standards/information to colleagues and team members, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Mobilisation and Scheduling: Mobilising works, such as ordering parts and chemicals, and overseeing the booking of works, advising the scheduler of timings, engineer skills required and impact to site.
Required Skills:
  • Commissioning Experience: Previous exposure to the Commissioning sector in an operational environment.
  • IT Skills: Confident IT user, with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Initiative and Prioritisation: Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work to a budget and plan and organise work effectively.
  • Customer Contact and Liaison: Ability to work effectively with customers and other stakeholders, with good customer contact and liaison skills.
  • Geographical Knowledge: Some geographical knowledge, with the ability to work effectively in a variety of locations.
  • Commissioning Processes: Knowledge of commissioning processes and procedures.
  • Full Clean Driving License: A full clean driving license is required, with the ability to work away from time to time, as defined by the operational needs of the business.
