Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic History Graduate to join our team as a History Educator. As a History Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the History department with lesson planning, resource preparation, and delivering engaging lessons that bring history to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the History department with lesson planning and resource preparation: Assist in creating engaging and inspiring history lessons, ensuring that students receive a high-quality educational experience.
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students: Help students with their understanding of historical topics, providing individualized support and guidance to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons: Contribute to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, where students are encouraged to explore and learn about history.
  • Monitor student progress and offer feedback: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of effective learning strategies.
  • Help manage the classroom environment: Ensure students are focused and engaged, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities: Participate in activities that promote a love for history, encouraging students to explore and appreciate the subject.

Requirements:

  • A degree in History or a related field: A strong academic background in History or a related field is essential for this role.
  • A passion for history and education: A genuine enthusiasm for history and a commitment to education are essential qualities for this position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
