About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Lancaster and Morecambe. As a key member of our Older Adult Community Mental Health Team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the Community Mental Health Team, Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team, and Memory Assessment Service.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide emergency cover as required.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and Specialist Register status.
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
  • Experience in Older Adult Psychiatry and a strong understanding of community mental health services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
