Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a maximum security prison in London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with substance misuse issues.
  • Deliver a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions, to support patients in achieving recovery.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews to ensure patients receive the most appropriate care and support.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
