About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing excellent customer service, and supporting your colleagues to deliver a great shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the store team to deliver an easy, fuss-free shopping experience for customers.
  2. Support your colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks.
  3. Open and close the store, and complete duty cover, ensuring all decisions made are right for everyone's safety.
  4. Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queries.
  5. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store at all times.
  6. Support managers to coordinate seasonal, community, and charity events.
  7. Contribute to a great team atmosphere, that's inclusive of everyone.
  8. Provide great customer service, by listening to our customers and putting them first in everything you do.
  9. Keep the team well-informed and up to speed on any communications, changes, or updates.
  10. Stay knowledgeable about store performance, and look for ways to improve and simplify operations.

  6. Someone who is motivating, so you can inspire your team to deliver beyond expectations.
