Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled and creative Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team as we head towards our goal of excellence. As a Pizza Chef at Smoke and Ash Experiences, you will be responsible for supporting our kitchen team, bringing your extensive knowledge, experience, and creativity to produce consistently brilliant food and deliver a first-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality Neapolitan-style pizzas on our world-class Izzo Forni oven
  • Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in all daily tasks, working to deliver smooth operations and efficient workflow
  • Support off-site events where required
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency in every dish
  • Maintain inventory levels and manage food costs within budget
  • Support junior kitchen staff on their development journey
  • Ensure compliance with EHO and safety regulations in the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards possible

About You

We're looking for individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who share our passion for delivering exceptional food and customer experiences. You'll be working alongside the owners to build and create a truly inspiring and exciting venue, working to build a brand together with the team, not conforming to rigid brand standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in a restaurant kitchen, preferably a pizza kitchen, but we're happy to talk to chefs from other restaurant or street food backgrounds
  • Culinary qualifications are desired but not essential
  • A genuine love of food and great quality ingredients, with a desire to help us continually evolve our offer and create innovative menus
  • A desire to develop your skillset and career
  • Positivity and enthusiasm with lots of energy
  • Strong team skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure – but having fun along the way
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate with guests
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a commercial kitchen setting (training can be provided)
