Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Bowel Cancer Screening Specialist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting the early detection and treatment of bowel cancer.

About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a Bowel Cancer Screening Specialist, you will be responsible for working across multiple sites, including Hereford County Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital, Alexandra Hospital Redditch, Malvern Community Hospital, and Ross Community Hospital. Your primary objective will be to provide comprehensive assessment of patient needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care according to BCSP and local protocols.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a case load of patients, run regular clinics, attend colonoscopy sessions, and manage a telephone help line.
* Work closely with the Health Promotion Coordinator to ensure equal access to health promotion activities and information for all ethnic groups.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to own area of work.
* Promote equality and support diversity.
* Comply with Quality Assurance frameworks.

Requirements
* You must have good IT skills, as daily data entry into a national screening database is a key aspect of this role. Specialist training will be provided for use of the Bowel Cancer Screening IT system, Open Exeter.
* Previous experience in teaching or health promotion is desirable but not essential.
* You will need to be flexible, as some weekend and evening work may be necessary in the future.
* Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to communicate sensitive and complex information to both patients and colleagues, including breaking significant news.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
