Procurement/Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

Laboris Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Procurement/Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role with a proven track record of negotiating preferential terms with suppliers for their organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement process to ensure the best possible prices and terms are secured for products and services.
  • Lead the team in building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, managing purchase order systems, and monitoring product inventory.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve procurement processes and procedures, ensuring the company remains a leader in its sector.
  • Liaise with heads of the Commercial and Finance departments to ensure all parties are aware of high-value orders pending and placed, cash required, and terms agreed across all projects.
  • Work closely with Design and Project Management teams to achieve successful procurement outcomes from the outset of each project.
  • Line manage three staff members, including a Buyer, Procurement Coordinator, and Logistics Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing a team and negotiating preferential terms with suppliers.
  • Experience of liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at a senior level.
  • IT proficiency, including experience of using Xero, Costtracker, and Procore.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience of working in the construction industry.
