Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

Eden Brown is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Electrical Services Design solutions on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Services Design: Contribute to the delivery of Electrical Services Design on assigned projects, maintaining and enhancing the quality and efficiency of design and post-contract implementation.
  • Client and Team Interaction: Represent the organisation through direct client contact and collaboration with design team members, occasionally representing the company at meetings in both Electrical and Mechanical Services disciplines.
  • Project Management: Apply and enforce office procedures and basic engineering principles, managing multiple projects and overseeing the work of Assistant and Apprentice Engineers.
  • Detailed Design (RIBA Stage 4): Develop Electrical Services detailed design, overseeing design work by junior engineering staff and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Software Proficiency: Use CAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, PV Sol, Manual Calculations, Chorus, Word, and Excel, developing the abilities of Assistant and Apprentice Engineers in using these software packages.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in a Graduate Electrical Engineer role.
  • Project management, delivery, and quality assurance skills.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (preferable) and willingness to travel for meetings and projects.
