About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Engineer to join our team at Kemp Recruitment. As a Mobile Crane Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of overhead cranes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that hire equipment is maintained to a high standard, conducting PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) work, and promptly attending customer sites to address breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of overhead cranes to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct PDI work to ensure hire equipment is safe and ready for use.
  • Attend customer sites to address breakdowns and provide technical support.
  • Adhere to LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) standards to ensure compliance and safety.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role involving cranes, powered access, plant machinery, or material handling equipment.
  • Essential electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair overhead cranes effectively.
  • LEEA qualification demonstrating proficiency in lifting equipment inspection and maintenance.
  • CSCS Card to access construction sites safely.
  • A passion for delivering excellent service and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Full UK driver's license with a willingness to travel to customer sites.
