About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead a large-scale industrial commercial construction project in Derbyshire. As Safety Manager, you will oversee and manage health and safety protocols for large-scale construction work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections as directed in the Safety Management system/PSCS.
  • Attend Safety Leadership Tours and coach staff in creating a positive safety culture.
  • Review RAMS/Subcontractor documentation and communicate findings to site management and project director.
  • Assess the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and develop new initiatives.
  • Investigate incidents and analyze root causes.
  • Provide training and information to the workforce on accident prevention and EHS awareness.
  • Maintain management systems in accordance with ISO 45001/14001 and Safe T Cert.
  • Represent the company impeccably with clients, subcontractors, and third parties.

Requirements

  • Relevant EHS qualification is essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience working in the Commercial Construction Sector is essential.
  • PSCS experience is required.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
