Our client, a forward-thinking accountancy practice, seeks an experienced Senior Practice Accountant to drive the business forward while delivering top-notch service to clients.

Salary: £42,000 per year plus a clear path to Directorship

Job Description:

  • As a Senior Practice Accountant, you'll work alongside the Director, handling personal tax, VAT returns, tax planning, and accounts with expertise.
  • You'll mentor junior accountants, guiding them in their roles and ensuring quality checks are thorough.
  • Managing workflows, deadlines, and onboarding clients will be key to your success.
  • Preparing financial statements and delivering reports will showcase your analytical skills.
  • You'll run client meetings, building trust and confidence with our clients.
  • Help shape the future of the practice by identifying business opportunities and contributing to growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA (evidenced by qualifications and experience)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice, with a strong understanding of digital tools like Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext
  • Tech-savvy with a keen eye for business opportunities and growth
  • Mentor vibes, confident communication, and a passion for guiding junior accountants
  • Able to prove the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available for this position)
