We have an exciting opportunity for a Conservation Biologist to join our dynamic team in Manchester. As a Conservation Biologist, you will be involved in various projects, including habitat restoration, biodiversity conservation, and environmental impact assessments.
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our team provides a supportive and collaborative environment, with opportunities for growth and development. You will work on a diverse range of projects, from residential and mixed-use developments to infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, with excellent communication skills, and an ability to prepare fee proposals. A thorough knowledge of ecological legislation and planning policy in the UK is essential. Experience in both linear infrastructure and property development projects is ideal.
The successful candidate will have excellent report writing skills, specifically for PEA reports, EcIA, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, and BREEAM 2018 Assessments. You will also have a solid understanding of conservation legislation and protected species licensing, ideally holding at least one survey/handling license for a protected species.
