Your Role

We are now looking to recruit an experienced programme director to lead the development of an integrated advisory offer to meet market need and priorities across our European Hub.

Working with sector and discipline leads to assess opportunities, create and manage a pipeline of work, you will drive growth across Europe whilst managing business to business activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion across Europe.
  • Leading go-to-market strategies, client relations, and business development/positioning of the Advisory service offer across Europe.
  • Driving service excellence and quality management on commissions across a portfolio.
  • Leading the professional development, retention, and progression of talented teams.
  • Developing thought leadership and industry insights to raise the profile of the Mace advisory offer.
  • Achieving operational excellence, delivering required commercial outcomes.
  • Setting the tone, culture, and model behaviours for Mace advisory.
  • Technical leadership of Mace with a visible presence in external markets as a thought leader.
  • Influencing strategic development and executing strategy to achieve vision across functions and/or teams.
  • Setting priorities and providing input into execution plans in achieving departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Accountable for business and pipeline development and work winning, bringing together appropriate capabilities and resourcing to fulfil current and future client needs.
  • Leading multiple commission teams to achieve agreed outputs, taking a leadership role working across multiple organisations and sectors.
  • Holding full accountability for the performance of a portfolio of commissions and/or service lines.
  • Maintaining, cultivating, and establishing a strong collaborative network, developing partnerships with key senior internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience of developing a vision and leading all aspects of delivery.
  • Experience of strategic leadership in all components of project and programme management and delivery (policy, strategy, client environment) related to property or infrastructure.
  • Experience of delivering client or organisational strategy.
  • Ability to apply cross-sector thinking.
  • Considered a subject matter expert in one or more specialist capabilities, e.g., financial modelling, governance, transformation, planning, business case, etc.
  • In-depth experience of delivery of an advisory service and demonstrates added value to programme and project delivery.
  • Significant experience of leading a service line in a specialist field.
  • Strategic thinking/global mindset.
  • Ability to generate new and unique options or solutions to complex issues.
  • In-depth experience of stakeholder management and client relationship on complex and politically/commercially sensitive programmes and/or projects in an unstable environment.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands across a portfolio of commissions.
  • Ability to manage conflict gaining positive outcomes for the client and team.
  • Advanced presentation and report writing skills, ability to influence C-suite decision-makers and/or politicians.
  • Ability to lead teams on multiple commissions in uncertain political and economic environments.
  • Lead a multi-professional team across a portfolio of diverse commissions.
  • Ability to fulfill the role of commission director.
  • Proven ability to secure work packages from new and existing clients and create a future pipeline of work.
  • Line management experience at a service line level.
  • Experience of taking ownership for overall function performance by taking on corporate responsibilities.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
