We're looking for an experienced Early Years education expert to join our team at the Best Practice Network. In this rewarding role, you'll be supporting trainees working towards their Early Years Teacher Status, leveraging your expertise and passion for education to help them succeed.

Salary

This position comes with a competitive salary estimated around £40,000-£50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

About the Role

In this key role, you'll be responsible for completing termly skills reviews, conducting observations in workplace and placement settings, developing individual training plans, and assessing learners using an online system.

Responsibilities

  • Complete termly skills reviews with trainees to identify skills and knowledge gaps against the EYITT curriculum themes.
  • Conduct observations in workplace and placement settings, liaising with mentors and lead trainers.
  • Develop and take responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to trainees' needs.
  • Assess and provide feedback to learners using an online system.
  • Support the delivery of training using approved training resources to cover curriculum themes.
  • Provide mental health and wellbeing support to trainees.
  • Evaluate necessary placements and arrange them accordingly, suggesting suitable schools/settings if required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess up-to-date Early Years industry knowledge, be able to develop strong professional relationships, motivate learners, and ensure timely completion of deadlines.

Requirements

  • Up-to-date Early Years industry knowledge.
  • Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers, mentors, and trainees.
  • Motivate learners and ensure they complete deadlines on time.
  • Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle, and be willing to travel to different settings.
  • Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative.
