About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our successful Infrastructure Managed Services Team at Dematic Software. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of our customers, working on project-based initiatives and providing technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, tender, procure, and deliver new projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Install and configure infrastructure for new customers, enhancing and improving existing deployments.
  • Oversee the performance of infrastructure across our managed services customer base and in-house services.
  • Monitor server performance, identifying potential issues and abnormalities that may impact customer service.
  • Review performance logs, analyzing trends, patterns, and irregular behavior to optimize infrastructure performance.
  • Manage monitoring solutions, setting up, updating, and enhancing parameters as infrastructure and systems evolve.
  • Ensure server backups, implement security measures, and establish automatic failover in case of server downtime.
  • Apply vulnerability patches to managed sites proactively and reactively.
  • Communicate with customers to understand issues and provide timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Dematic to resolve support issues promptly.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Fluent English language skills (spoken and written).
  • Team player with a desire to learn and train others.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Good degree level in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Technical Skills

  • Terraform.
  • AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Nagios.
  • Grafana and/or Prometheus.
  • Configuration automation (Ansible).
  • Linux (preferably Redhat/Centos).
  • VMware.
  • Good network skills (Firewalls & Switches).
  • Driving license.
