Site Services Maintenance Specialist

At Premier Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled Site Services Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our Barnsley site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing maintenance activities to ensure the manufacturing team achieves full compliance to the production plan, minimizing disruption to manufacturing and site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement maintenance activities to ensure manufacturing team achieves full compliance to production plan
  • Support engineering and manufacturing functions to maximize utilization of engineering equipment
  • Personally demonstrate safe behavior and take responsibility for health and safety of staff and contractors
  • Provide innovative proactive engineering support service to site based on skill, experience, and initiative
  • Communicate daily with Facilities Team Manager to ensure planned maintenance, engineering, and production priorities are considered

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled with electrical bias
  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering
  • Practical knowledge of CI tools and techniques
  • Working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic technical manuals and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Able to take own initiative and is solutions-focused
  • Can-do attitude
  • Excellent time management skills

Hours of Work:

Rotating shifts: Week 1 - 6am-2pm, Week 2 - 8am-4pm

Early finish on a Friday

1 weekend work in 7 - 4 hours Saturday and Sunday
