Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality improvement activities, working closely with department heads to drive continuous improvement.
  • Supervise the quality team to ensure optimal performance and achieve quality objectives.
  • Effectively close internal and external production quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Develop and maintain quality instructions, specifications, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier quality improvements, working collaboratively with suppliers to enhance quality and reduce defects.
  • Support quality training for production staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet quality standards.
  • Act as a quality mentor to the quality and production teams, providing guidance and support to ensure quality excellence.
  • Perform audits of the production quality system, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Effectively control non-conforming product, ensuring it is properly handled and disposed of in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Improve First Off Inspection process KPIs, ensuring high-quality products are released to the market.
  • Improve Shipping Release process KPIs, ensuring timely and accurate release of products to customers.
  • Reduce risks associated with assembly, test, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Maintain all required records and performance indicators, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • Essential:
      • Excellent leadership skills and experience
      • Experience leading a quality function
      • Excellent problem-solving skills, including DMAIC, PDCA, and 8D methodologies
      • Good understanding of GMP
    • Desirable:
      • Experience in electronic product or medical device operation
      • Good working knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001
  • Qualifications and Training:
    • Essential:
      • Related industry experience
    • Desirable:
      • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Other Attributes:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
    • Able to critically evaluate and summarize complex data into simple messages and actions
