US Tax Compliance Specialist

Our Financial Services Tax practice is seeking a highly motivated US Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing hedge fund and private equity US tax compliance processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tax returns and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate multiple engagement teams' schedules and deadlines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to tax consulting projects by researching and explaining the impact of US tax legislation on asset management clients.
  • Practical experience with partnership allocations, including an understanding of revaluation accounts.
Requirements:
  • Current CPA, EA, or equivalent qualification or degree/master's degree in accounting or taxation.
  • Knowledge of corporate and international tax returns and related US tax laws.
  • Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns and Schedules K-1.
  • Practical experience with hedge fund securities analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of Go Systems tax preparation software or similar system.
  • Background in financial services, ideally working with hedge fund and private equity clients in a US tax capacity.
