Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a leading engineering business in the UK to find a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist. This role has been created to support the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as environmental practices and ISO9001. They will also have hands-on experience in inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site visits and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Developing and implementing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Permits to Work, and other safety protocols.
  • Leading incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Managing and supporting the quality control process, including product inspections and testing.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company meets relevant QHSE certifications and standards.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, and environmental practices, ISO9001 as well as hands-on experience in inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in a HSEQ role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, health & safety, and environmental standards.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
  • Certification in QHSE-related fields (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) or a commitment to achieving certification with our support.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
