Operations Management Opportunity

A senior-level production manager position has become available at a leading manufacturing organisation based near Kidderminster, supporting the business through phases of change and improvement. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will involve organisational analysis, performance optimisation, and team management.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing management, having previously held positions such as Manufacturing Manager, Works Manager, or Shift Manager. The successful candidate must be an advocate for change processes, lead by example, and possess strong people management skills.

The Package:

Salary: £45,000 per annum
Working Hours: 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday)
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
Pension Scheme

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational procedures aligned with the Operations Manager's objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication through daily meetings and monthly departmental updates.
  • Drive continuous improvements, new product introductions, and process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with production documentation and health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in people management.
  • Experience in implementing lean manufacturing processes and knowledge of 5S and six sigma methodologies.
  • Previous experience in machining, fabrication, welding, sheet metal work, and related processes within a manufacturing environment.
