Job Title: Principal Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database solutions using modern cloud architecture
  • Create and maintain database standards and policies
  • Support database design and testing
  • Manage database availability and performance
  • Administer database objects
  • Implement event triggers for alerts
  • Perform database housekeeping
  • Monitor database usage and performance metrics

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of SQL Server
  • Experience with AWS RDS
  • Familiarity with AWS Redshift
  • Understanding of BI/Dashboards and Data Warehousing
  • Proficiency with AWS Aurora or MySQL
  • Expertise in AWS Encryption, particularly in relation to databases
  • Ability to become conversant with data protection regulations and the implementation of relevant security controls
