Job Title: Graduate Manufacturing Project Lead

Job Summary:

Leonardo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Manufacturing Project Lead to join our team. As a Graduate Manufacturing Project Lead, you will be responsible for assisting management of multiple manufacturing projects and related activities, ensuring plans are available and resources are in place to successfully deliver and support the product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with manufacturing inputs to Bid activities for new business opportunities
  • Adhere to manufacturing budgets through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Interface and relationship management with internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule resources required to successfully deliver and support products
  • Play a lead role in continuous improvement activities in support of business objectives
  • Understand the mechanics and factors affecting manufacturing supply and demand
  • Monitor and review production trends to provide early warning of risks to delivery and quality
  • Awareness and adherence to Life Cycle Management processes
  • Effective management of available resources to achieve desired outcomes
  • Regular review of expenditure on labour and material to ensure most efficient use of resources
  • Champion and facilitate a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Support Inventory optimisation throughout the life cycle in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, Line of Business requirements and Site targets
  • Work with support teams to find, analyse and solve production and supply chain problems with corrective actions
  • Manage capacity plans in line with business area expectations
  • Work closely with the IPTs, Commercial & Finance functions for optimal demand & supply management
  • Prepare and present business reports as required by Function, IPT and/or Business area
  • Work constructively with a wide array of functions and foster strong, productive relationships

Requirements:

  • Must have an affinity for people with a strong desire to share knowledge and collaborations
  • Some knowledge and understanding of manufacturing theory and practice
  • Good oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams
  • Culturally sensitive and emotionally intelligent
  • Has an ability to effect change and see tasks through to completion
