Job Summary:

As a Street Cleansing Operative at JOB SWITCH LTD, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of public spaces. This position requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake duties concerned with the sweeping, collection, and removal of litter, dirt, dead animals, leaves, and weeds from public spaces, including roads, pavements, and shopping precincts.
  • Operate and maintain a range of tools and equipment, including Sharp Kits, and regularly inspect and empty litter bins.
  • Work unsocial hours as required, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • May be given the opportunity to carry out refuse collection duties, including the removal of household, industrial, and commercial refuse from various locations.
  • Operate refuse containers, such as plastic sacks, wheelie bins, and paladin bins.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in waste management or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
