We are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Specialist to join our Independent Living team as we set up a new operational team.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable people to live independently and develop their skills within Housing.

The role will be based at one of our Independent Living Schemes in Rushden.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a well-rounded Housing Management service, overseeing allocations and lettings as well as tenancy management.
  • Carry out Building Safety Checks and ensure the buildings' security.
  • Liaise with the assets team in relation to any repairs which need carrying out.
  • Monitor on-site contractors completing works.
  • Provide support to tenants with benefit claims, budgeting, move-on plans etc.
  • Help promote an independent lifestyle to our tenants.

We are looking for a people-focused individual with previous experience in customer-facing roles. You will be dealing with vulnerable individuals facing homelessness, so it's essential you are resilient and able to deal with challenging circumstances. Additionally, we require someone with previous Housing management experience who is looking to further develop their skills.

The ideal candidate will have a competitive salary of around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of the Midland Heart team, you will also have access to our award-winning company benefits, including a pension scheme and discounts with big brands.
