About the Job

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Arboricultural Consultant to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking tree surveys for development applications and construction projects, assisting with carrying out tree health surveys, hazard assessments, and risk assessments, and preparing Tree Survey Plans and Tree Protection Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake tree surveys for a range of development applications and construction projects;
  • Assist with carrying out tree health surveys, hazard assessments, and risk assessments;
  • Prepare Tree Survey Plans and Tree Protection Plans;
  • Assist with reporting, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements;
  • Collate information to assist with advice on a broad range of arboricultural issues for clients;

Requirements:

  • A passion for trees and ideally experience in a related environmental subject such as treesurgery/Arboriculture/Forestry, ecology/conservation/habitat management, planning/local authority, surveying/engineering;
  • A Level 2 or higher qualification in arboriculture or equivalent environmental discipline;
  • Excellent tree identification skills;
  • Good level of written English;
  • Ability to work outside at all times of year and within an office environment;
  • Professional attitude, being punctual, self-disciplined, and able to proactively manage time to required working deadlines;
  • Passion for Arboriculture and sustainable environmental design;
  • Computer literacy with experience of MS Word and Excel;
  • Hold a current UK driving license and access to own vehicle.

We offer a competitive salary of £21,000 - £24,000 (dependent on experience) with the opportunity for annual bonuses, enrolment on our pension scheme, 25 days holiday, compressed working week, and a holiday purchase system.
