Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our Commercial team. This key role will lead our premium milkshake category agenda and drive growth across all channels - Grocery, Digital, Convenience, and wholesale Cash & Carry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tailor and implement areas for growth across 4 P's - promo, pricing, placement, and range/display for specified customers.
  • Develop long-term category strategies with customers and execute plans to deliver growth.
  • Interrogate category/shopper data to identify areas of growth and execute delivery within retailer plans.
  • Track category and customer performances, providing ongoing insights to internal stakeholders and externally to customers.
  • Provide monthly external insights, trends, and performance KPI's (Shopper, Consumer, Retailer, Food).
  • Tailor New Product Development (NPD) & Innovation sell-in proposals for customers.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights from advanced analysis to generate growth-driving ideas or address underperformances.
  • Champion the category vision and contribute to the annual planning process, guiding the strategic direction for each key Customer.
  • Lead range reviews for customers, ensuring a shopper- and category-first approach.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Fully conversant with Kantar/Nielsen/IRI/DH/I2C data systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years FMCG experience in category/commercial/strategy roles.
  • Branded FMCG food or drink experience, ideally in the chilled category, with expertise in adjacent spaces like milkshakes, chilled coffee, dairy alternatives, or desserts.
  • Extensive experience in customer-facing category roles delivering growth for customers.

What We Offer

This role supports hybrid working, with a requirement to visit Shaken Udder's Tiptree office once a week. You will receive a highly competitive basic salary, 10% bonus, pension, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
