We are seeking a highly skilled Model Risk Officer to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of model risk across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams to ensure effective model risk management.
- Support RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk related topics.
- Elevate questions or concerns raised by local model users or management to MRM and ALM central teams.
- Collaborate with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes, trends, or regulations.
- Communicate good practices or guidance from MRM and ALM central teams to local model users or ALM model reviewers.
- Support the local ALM team in their review of ALM models, in compliance with Group's best practices.
- Broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
- Attention to detail, rigorous, and autonomous.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create good relationships with stakeholders across different departments and geographies.
- Capability to prioritize and organize.
- Experience in previous roles on Risk management and ideally on Model Risk.
- Relevant industries: Banking, Prime Brokerage, Capital markets.
