Learning Support Assistant Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Kibworth Church of England Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our children.
About the Role
This fixed-term contract until August 2025 offers a unique chance to work closely with our teachers, providing support for teaching and learning activities in line with school policies and procedures. You will play a significant part in creating an outstanding learning environment that fosters the success of all our children.
Main Responsibilities
Your key duties will include:
- Assisting in preparing, monitoring, and maintaining a safe and secure learning environment aligned with teacher lesson plans.
- Working under the direct supervision of a teacher to carry out planned learning activities with small groups or individual pupils, providing feedback on their engagement and achievement of desired learning objectives.
- Encouraging high standards of behavior, developing relationships, and recognizing and dealing with emotions appropriately.
- Preparing and utilizing ICT resources to support pupil learning.
- Preparing and supporting the use of learning materials and creating visual displays in accordance with teacher requirements to facilitate a relevant physical learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- NVQ 2 in support Teaching and Learning, or Equivalent OR ability to demonstrate the ability to meet the STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards relevant to this post.
- Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a formal setting.
- Knowledge of child protection and health and safety procedures.
- Good interpersonal skills.
Educational Requirements
An estimated salary range for this position is £24,407 - £24,794 annually (FTE), with an actual starting salary of approximately £15,520.
