Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Heavy Plant

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy plant equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out routine and preventative maintenance servicing, as well as machine inspections, to identify and address any potential issues before they become major problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine servicing of equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, including oil sampling and other maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct thorough machine inspections to identify any developing issues with systems and components, including hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and mechanical components.
  • Perform minor repairs as identified during machine inspections, including the installation of telematic systems and undercarriage inspections.

About the Role:

This is a field-based role, requiring you to attend customer locations as advised by our controller. You will be responsible for taking proper care of company vehicles and equipment. A basic knowledge of the four main product elements (Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics) relating to servicing and repair of heavy mobile plant is essential.

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in heavy plant maintenance, either through direct experience or a related engineering function. A formal apprenticeship qualification or equivalent is desirable, but not essential. Further training will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
