About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Property Senior Associate to join our team at Burges Salmon. As a key member of our Real Estate Department, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on all aspects of rural property law, including sales, purchases, leasing, and mortgaging of farms, estates, and country houses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to clients, including landed estates and rural property owners, on a wide range of matters.
  • Work closely with our private client and dispute resolution teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in rural property law and regulations, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of our business, including identifying new opportunities and leading CRM efforts.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working on property transactions and matters for landed estates and rural property.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer.
