Job Description

Job Title: Employment Lawyer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote (with occasional visits to office)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our team at The Job Guru. As an Employment Lawyer, you will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of employment law, including day-to-day employment advice and contentious matters such as Employment Tribunal claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on employment law matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, contracts, and policies
  • Represent clients in Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting and responding to claims, witness statements, and advocacy
  • Provide day-to-day employment and HR advice to clients, including telephone and written advice to managers, HR, and senior executives/Board level
  • Draft contracts, policies, and other employment-related documentation
  • Conduct investigations and advise on disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Conduct negotiations and draft settlement agreements
  • Provide training and guidance to clients and junior team members
Requirements
  • Experience of Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting and responding to claims, witness statements, and advocacy
  • Experience of giving day-to-day employment and HR advice to clients
  • Experience of drafting contracts, policies, and other employment-related documentation
  • Experience of conducting investigations and advising on disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Experience of conducting negotiations and drafting settlement agreements
  • Strong focus on building client relationships and business development
