Traffic Management Operative Trainee

Role Overview
As a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative Trainee at Chevron Traffic Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of roadworkers and road users.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out traffic counts, contacting clients and subcontractors, timing, and reporting near misses.
- Maintaining temporary traffic lights.
- Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management, including deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment.
- Assisting and guiding new trainees once they are qualified.
Requirements
- Holding a full driving license with no more than six points. Any driving bans must have expired for at least five years.
- Passing a drug and alcohol test, with the offer being contingent on the outcome of this.
- Demonstrating a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Exhibiting adaptability and flexibility.
- Possessing meticulous attention to detail.

Working Hours
General hours of work are 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities. Hours and shift patterns tend to fall on days, but you may also be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota, especially if you have the use of a company van.
Training and Development
Traffic Management Training is subject to signing a training agreement. Welcome bonus and maternity & paternity payments are subject to terms and conditions.
