We are seeking a motivated and skilled small animal vet to join our practice in Blackwood, South Wales. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgery and consults, with a strong work ethic and good communication skills.

The role will involve all standard vet responsibilities, including surgery and consults, with no weekend or OOH requirements. We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 30 days annual leave and contributory pension scheme.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team of 5 vets, 8 veterinary nurses, and 4 receptionists, supported by a dedicated practice manager. They will have access to modern facilities, including x-ray, dental x-ray, and ultrasound equipment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing surgery and consults
  • Working closely with the rest of the team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with clients

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • RVN/RM qualification
  • Experience in small animal surgery and consults
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
