Senior Front End Developer

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Developer to join our Tech team at Virgin Experience Days Limited. As an expert in ecommerce, Typescript, and NextJS, you'll play a crucial role in driving the growth of our successful £100m+ business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Development Projects: Successfully guide projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Innovate and Optimise: Continuously improve our software solutions, keeping them at the forefront of technology and user experience.
  • Technical Excellence: Maintain high standards in software development, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable solutions.
  • Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to the strategic planning of technology solutions, aligning with business goals and objectives.

As a Senior Front End Developer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing scalable website applications using Typescript and frameworks including NextJS and React. You'll work effectively in our agile team, contributing to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, ensuring software quality, and troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing front end software.

Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Typescript, NextJS, React, and Node.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a senior front end developer in an ecommerce setting.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile practices and SCM tools like Git.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
