Paediatric Nurse Opportunity

Spire Southampton Hospital is seeking a skilled Paediatric Nurse to join our Children and Young People's services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert care to children and young people, including pre- and post-operative care, wound management, and emotional support.
  • Liaising with parents, guardians, and consultants to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Risk assessing patients to determine suitability for admission and making informed decisions to ensure optimal care.
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Participating in the development and growth of our paediatric service, identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the implementation of new initiatives.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Sick Children's Nurse with no restriction on practice.
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience working within paediatrics, ideally in a surgical setting.
  • Excellent understanding of CQC criteria and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including earlies, late, long day, and night shifts.
