Job Title: Behaviour Mentor - Pastoral Support Specialist

Location: Secondary School in Sandwell
About the Role:
We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team at a secondary school in Sandwell. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work under the direction of the Inclusion and Behaviour Manager to provide support to small groups of students across key stage 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to small groups of students
- Manage student behaviour and overcome barriers to learning
- Inspire children and help pupils reengage with education
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to provide a high standard of education
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months experience of supporting children and young people on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential
- Able to build confidence and motivation in students
- Approachable and able to build robust and effective relationships with students
- Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict
- High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work
- Excellent administrative skills
- Eligibility to work within the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training
