We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Play Specialist to join our Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Services team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Play Specialist, you will play a vital role in reducing anxiety and stress for children and young people undergoing diagnostic scans and treatment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an age-appropriate environment throughout the area
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions to a caseload of patients attending UCLH for MRI's, Nuclear Medicine and other scanning procedures
  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the children and young person's hospital experience

Requirements:

  • Registered and qualified Health Play Specialist holding the Foundation Degree in Health Care Play Specialism or previous HPSC/HPSEB, Edexcel PDC/HND in Hospital Play Specialism or overseas equivalent
  • Further training in child protection and management training modules
  • Documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development
