Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician at ADM in Corby, UK. The primary purpose of this role is to provide electro-mechanical cover for our mill and packing lines, ensuring the production and delivery of wheat flour over a 24-hour period, seven days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Company Safety and Health guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment within the plant to ensure optimal performance.
- Investigate and undertake electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs and fault finding within the plant.
- Ensure food safety compliance requirements are met within the plant.
- Develop and execute small projects within the Plant environment.
- Source and order replacement parts for the Plant equipment.
- Issue permits and control on-site contractors.
- Conduct RCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete and improve planned maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve plant performance objectives.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must be trained to City and Guilds or equivalent, or be a qualified time-served multi-skilled engineer.
- Must be competent in working with voltages of up to 415.
- Must be computer literate with various Microsoft packages.
- Knowledge of PLCs would be advantageous.
- Fabricating and welding experience would be advantageous.
- City and Guilds 18th edition (or equivalent).
- A good level of electrical and mechanical skills together with a level of competence in process control engineering.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to work to the highest standards of safety within a team environment or working alone.
