Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Specialist

Join our team at Pertemps as a Senior Health and Safety Specialist in the South Birmingham Area. This is a six-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to go permanent.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to lead our Environment, Health & Safety programs and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Health and Safety expertise for the plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Company Policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all Environment, Health & Safety programs and processes
  • Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Company Policies
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Facilitate implementation of corrective and preventative actions
  • Ensure facility standards are in compliance with Company and government regulations
  • Develop and implement training programs to drive a safety-perfect culture
  • Lead culture change and drive behavioral safety as a way of life
Requirements:
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Tech savvy with experience of Windows and ability to adapt to other systems
  • Demonstrated ability to create a motivational environment, driving good health and safety culture
  • Technical functional excellence in Health & Safety demonstrated through leadership
  • Understanding of CDM and project management skills
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (such as ATEX, Chemical and Fire Risk Management)
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 0800-1600, paid at a competitive pay rate.
