About the Role

We are recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across production equipment. This will ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and production runs efficiently. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, days only, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to get away from shift work.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to Level 3 in Engineering or similar, with proven maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing/production setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs on a range of machinery to minimize downtime
  • Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root cause
  • Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
  • Comply with company HSEQ and ensure risks are eliminated during maintenance work
  • Record maintenance information using maintenance software
  • Promote best practice in maintenance, quality, housekeeping and H&S
  • Work with colleagues effectively and across all areas of the business

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or similar
  • Proven maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing/production setting
  • Strong Mechanical skills and knowledge, welding, fitting, repairs etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC's, drives, motors
  • Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings
