We are seeking an experienced Education Mentor to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Leicester.

About the Role

This is a long-term to permanent position, offering a competitive daily rate of £95-£105. The successful candidate will have experience working with students who require additional support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Behavioural Support Worker, you will provide tailored guidance and mentoring to students with diverse needs, implementing behaviour intervention plans and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour.

Requirements
  • Experience working with special educational needs (SEND), particularly in an SEMH or alternative provision setting.
  • A genuine passion for empowering vulnerable students and promoting their emotional wellbeing.
  • A proactive approach to supporting students with complex behaviour, using restorative practices and positive behaviour management.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training and knowledge of child protection policies.
  • Ability to support students in a 1:1 or small group setting.

Please note that applicants must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate and provide two professional references.
