Job Title: Aerospace & Defence Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace & Defence Manager to join our team at Ametek.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the Planning and Procurement teams to achieve the company's Operational targets. This will involve ensuring that Day-to-Day activities are achieved in line with Operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in Working Capital management, Master Production Scheduling, Inventory Management, and Process adherence.
  • Deliver and deploy best-in-class practices associated with process management/health checks and MRP management.
  • Drive managed inventory reduction & Working Capital improvements.
  • Support excellence in Excess and Obsolete initiatives and projects.
  • Implement & Drive planning and purchasing Initiatives implementing appropriate strategies in line with business needs & objectives.
  • Identify and monitor Risk and Vulnerability affecting the key processes with the focus of continually improving.
  • Using data, review minimum inventory holding for key components.
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are adhered to in line with Business Unit requirements.
  • Analyse data to drive decision making and process improvement.
  • Support internal initiatives on Product Development and New Product Implementation.
Requirements
  • Experience in People and Process Management.
  • Experience in MPS, forecasting and Working capital management.
  • Excellent people management and soft skills.
  • Data analytics and/or Planning background - Understand data trends, materials, MPS, and manufacturing processes.
  • Organised - able to document, handle, prioritise and deal with a high volume of projects and tasks.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Advanced Planning techniques.
  • Creative and Analytical.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Data driven.
