Our GPU Hardware Tech team is responsible for the cutting-edge graphics in Apple's chips, powering everything from Apple Watch and Apple TV to iPhone, iPad, and Mac. We're seeking talented individuals to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation GPUs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the content, verification, and software teams to identify and resolve model and hardware bugs
- Develop bit-accurate C/C++ models of the GPU architecture
- Integrate functional models, analyze accuracy, and present results and recommendations
- Partner with GPU hardware and software teams during design bring-up and driver bring-up
- BS/MS/BEng/MEng/PhD in a related field
- Excellent C++ programming and scripting skills
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and well-organized
- A deep understanding and curiosity of computer architecture (GPU/CPU/SoC micro-architecture knowledge is a plus)
- Modelling knowledge (experience with interpreting functional specs and developing hardware architectural models is a plus)
- Opportunities to collaborate with multiple teams to understand functional, performance, and power issues in the GPU
- International travel may be required on occasion
