Job Opportunity

At Venture Up, we're seeking a skilled C++ Software Developer to join our team in Oxford. As a key member of our team, you'll be working closely with quantitative researchers and other talented engineers to build and support systematic trading models.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and extending a large-scale distributed system written primarily in modern C++20 and Python on Linux. A strong understanding of functional programming concepts and their application in the real world is highly desirable.

You'll be part of a tight-knit team of research mathematicians, computer scientists, and trading analysts at the top of their fields. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of OOP concepts, modern C++ features, and experience with multi-threaded applications and TCP networking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality C++ code in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features
  • Contribute to the maintenance and extension of our distributed system
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in similar hedge funds or trading firms
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts and modern C++ features
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications and TCP networking
  • Ability to produce good quality code in a timely manner
