At Playground Games, we're embarking on a thrilling journey to revive the beloved Fable franchise. As a seasoned Rendering Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our team, responsible for crafting breathtaking visuals and delivering exceptional rendering performance.


We're seeking an expert with a passion for AAA rendering techniques, console and PC performance optimisation, and a proven track record in the industry. If you're a master of your craft, eager to push boundaries, and collaborate with our talented Content and Tech Art teams, this is the opportunity for you.


About the Role
  • You will design and implement state-of-the-art rendering systems and techniques in our custom, proprietary engine.
  • Maintain and extend existing rendering systems to ensure they scale and perform well on all supported platforms.
  • Empower the Content teams to create high-quality content that showcases your expertise.

Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with demonstrable work on at least one published title (ideally AAA on console).
  • Strong C++ and software architecture skills.
  • Good knowledge of state-of-the-art rendering techniques and performance optimisation on console.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for video games and a portfolio demonstrating high-quality rendering work (optional).

What We Offer

We provide a permanent role based at our cutting-edge facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. With a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, you'll have the chance to grow with our dynamic team and shape the future of gaming.
